00:07Hi, I'm Amy Levin, founder of College Fashionista. Today on Closet Curveballs, I'm going to show you three ways to
00:14style mixed prints. Two of them are going to be curveballs. Let's go.
00:32So, my first look I put together is this pretty high-impact look. This patterned dress with polka dots works
00:40well with this tribal tie-dye jacket and the embellishments kind of gives it an extra fun edge. Even though
00:46they clash, they're in the same color family, so you still see a similarity when you're pairing them together in
00:51one look.
00:51I then put on metallic heels to really top off the look and make it very clashing and noteworthy. Mixed
00:59prints can obviously be challenging to wear and especially intimidating in an interview situation. So, I'm going to show you
01:05an easy way to pair it together.
01:21Here's my mixed prints interview outfit. I put together a look that pairs classic pieces such as these basic trousers
01:29with a little print and a silk blouse that has a bolder print.
01:33The combination of the smaller and louder print makes it work for an interview and then I added a neutral
01:39blazer to add an element of professionalism and a heel for confidence.
01:43A sheer blouse can be tricky, but with a nude bra like this, Lily of France, you won't break up
01:50your look and you'll keep a clean and professional feel.
02:11This is my fun casual look for grabbing brunch with friends. I paired a leopard skirt with a casual knit
02:18striped sweater and just a pair of flat loafers for kickers.
02:22I'm sticking around and then add a bunch of color with the clutch to really top off the look.
02:27This look works because both the leopard and the stripe are classic patterns, clashed together, so it's an easy, cool
02:33clash.
02:34So, there you have it. Three ways to mix and match patterns from professional to playful. Now it's up to
02:39you to go out and try it. Good luck!
02:58I'll see you next time!
