00:07Photography is something that's very close to us, so this is a great opportunity.
00:19I think the great thing about it is the idea that we're trying to work with young artists and trying
00:23to help expose the work.
00:25Because nothing is easy.
00:27The level of photography was excellent this year, and I think also we just had a great group on the
00:32committee.
00:32Is everybody ready to start the first round?
00:36I was just hoping to see a good picture in front of my nose that I would like to own,
00:41because I love this kind of thing.
00:43We are looking at photographs all day long for work, and when you see an artist who is pushing the
00:49medium, who is trying something new, it is exciting.
00:52That's where you'll find the new stars, is in that newness and in that freedom.
00:57I think that it's very rare that you find even one or two very talented people.
01:02And we're lucky, I think, to find some really great young talents.
01:05No?
01:05Any yeses?
01:07It's a no.
01:07All right.
01:08I think it's amazing when people with such a breadth of experience have an opportunity to see new work and
01:13young artists.
01:14And I think that's a great crossover.
01:16I think it's kind of interesting to just see the breadth of work that was submitted to sort of see
01:22where people are coming from.
01:25I think it's hard because fashion has become about perfection.
01:29And so when people are aspiring to do it, they sort of feel like they have to be as polished
01:34as possible.
01:35I like this one.
01:36It's not really fashion.
01:38At least it's, like, different.
01:39Yeah.
01:40Is there something there?
01:41I think we looked for moments where we felt like people were breaking a few of the rules.
01:46Generally, we look for originality, creativity, consistency, and that, yeah, there's a personal vision that has to stand out.
01:55Several photographers had many different types of ideas going on in one group of images.
02:00I think the ones were the strongest were the ones that we really had edited down and had a very
02:04particular aesthetic.
02:06Anything? Anybody?
02:07Yeah.
02:08All right, it's in.
02:09When you're young, you're influenced by lots of different things, and it's hard not to then, you know, put that
02:15into your work.
02:15But to be true to yourself, and that's what stuck out.
02:19It's exciting to see so many photographers out there, so many people who want to be in the industry, who
02:23want to work, who want to do interesting and unique pictures.
02:28I think a personal statement is more important than anything else.
02:32Oh, we did it.
02:38That is fun.
