00:03Hey, it's Sam, the predictive analyst here. In this video, I'm going to show you one of the
00:08projects that I did this past year. I worked with construction workers in order to estimate
00:14the supplies and electrical equipment that's needed before a building gets constructed. This
00:21will create an application that uses JavaScript and HTML so you can follow along and create your
00:28own version of an app that can be used for things like opening doors, having badge swipes, or just
00:35helping to facilitate the efficiency of an office. This is especially relevant as more and more offices
00:43are transitioning to a hybrid work environment as opposed to having to have staff always in the office.
00:58We've made significant progress in automating the runoff process. The method uses source documents
01:04from the training manual to ground the AI in factual guardrails achieved using Perplexity Gemini Pro to
01:10calculate distances accurately. The process begins with the user providing a specific natural language
01:16request. This prompt defines what the AI should search for, such as counting the number of smoke
01:21alarms, rooms, manual pull stations, and strobes from the blueprint. Next, the AI reads and maps the
01:28project legend. It creates a unique digital dictionary of device symbols specifically for this blueprint set.
01:34This step involves designing the wire runs. The system establishes connections from the electrical panel for
01:40power, data, and communications to various devices and rooms, optimizing the path for cable requirements.
01:46Here we see a breakdown of the wire runs, categorized by power, data, and communications, flowing from the
01:53electrical panel to specific rooms and devices. The system utilizes the perimeter tool on the blueprint to
01:59calculate distances, perimeter, and other measurements, ensuring high precision in the cable planning process.
02:05This slide provides an overview of the calculated wire lengths for three specific floor plan units, along with their
02:11respective areas, unit A1, unit A2, and unit A3. Moving on to units B1, B2, and B3, we see the
02:20calculated area and
02:21wire length for each floor plan, highlighting the cable routing. Units B4, B5, and B6 continue to show the planned
02:29wire routes
02:30within their respective floor plans. This blueprint illustrates the various room areas, such as room A1, room A2, room A3,
02:39and room A4 on
02:40level A1, which are critical for area calculations. This bar chart displays the total building area estimated by room
02:47label type, providing a visualization of the area distribution across different room classifications.
