second power read on Their Brother, the Dragon Sacrifice, and it's about how a horror becomes a calendar entry.
The terms aren't a crisis. They're a schedule. Somebody maintains the record, somebody prepares the route, somebody arranges what gets carried.
That's the part that should frighten you. Not the monster — the logistics. A village that has a procedure for this has done it before, more than once, and will do it again.
Ritual is just bureaucracy with better lighting. The forms are older. The function is identical.
And the person it processes has no line on the form to object with.
✨ What worked for me:
- No one is shown planning it in secret. It's all above board.
- The record-keeper is the calmest character in the show.
✨ Bottom line: a system that can process a person has already decided people are inputs.
Which one actually holds the power?
— GSH, guilty pleasures, well served 🥂
