00:24The first half was a good performance, but we lost the game.
00:32Do you feel let down by one of your senior players?
00:37I think it was as good as we played for some time, I think, in the first half.
00:43We looked dangerous, we looked fluid, we looked like a good team,
00:48as I said, we looked really dangerous.
00:50Could have scored one or two, maybe three,
00:54even with the chances and the spaces that we created,
00:56and then the game gets away from us.
00:58I've not seen it back, so I don't know if it was or not.
01:02He's obviously gone to it and the referees gave that decision.
01:05It's a big moment in the game, the second half got away from us,
01:08which is something we've got to deal with.
01:12Sometimes you get setbacks in games and you've got to deal with that better.
01:16From being in such a good place in the first half,
01:19the two halves of football couldn't probably be more further apart in some ways.
01:38Yeah, it was a major part of the game,
01:42the second goal and losing the man at that stage had a big influence on it for sure.
01:47There was a moment there where you talked to Paul saying that you weren't happy about it.
01:51Oh, yeah, it doesn't matter.
01:54Mark?
01:54Michael, it's a grimly to ask for United to win the bottom three tonight.
01:59How do you address that?
02:01You've got to keep moving forward and winning games, simple as that.
02:05There's no words that I'm going to explain to you now that makes it any different,
02:07it's not going to change it.
02:09We've got to move forward and win football matches, it's as simple as that.
02:12Is there a stigma that happens to be in the bottom three?
02:15Not from me, no.
02:17Murray?
02:19Do you think the players are equipped for that kind of mentality shift,
02:23because that potentially does get into that kind of integrity of being around the bottom three?
02:28Yeah, you can look at it like that.
02:29You can look at it how far you can move up the league quite quickly if you win football matches,
02:32so that's the way it's got to be approached for sure.
02:37Steve, when was that pitch in the first half to be able to get a chance to develop last season?
02:44Yeah, but that's the way it goes, that's the swings and that's what you've got to deal with.
02:48You've got to capitalise it when things are going well,
02:54sums it up, you get that when you're having a run like we are.
02:57The only way to do is obviously taking your chances and flipping it and staying in the game
03:02when maybe it does go against you for a moment.
03:06We didn't capitalise on the moments we had,
03:08and then we let it unravel too much when the moments went against us.
03:15Michael, are you confident that you'll get some time to turn things around?
03:19Did you see enough in that first half to give you encouragement that the players want to be here,
03:23they want to fight for that sure?
03:25Yeah, you can't play like they did, especially in the first half.
03:28I'm not saying it was all of a sudden they flipped in the second half,
03:31the game just got away from us and it became more difficult.
03:34We give away a bad goal and then it's a lot more challenging to be in a situation than with
03:40ten men.
03:41I think the way they went about it and played, the quality of football
03:44and the way we played in the first half definitely gives encouragement.
03:48We've got to take that.
03:49How much does this hurt you?
03:50You're a Manchester United man and nine matches now without a win,
03:54United could be in the bottom three tonight, which is not what you want.
03:58Yeah, pretty much exactly that, yeah.
04:01James?
04:01Mike, the manner of the defending for the first goal concerning you
04:08and also just you spoke to the hierarchy at the start of the week,
04:11did they confirm to you that you'd be the manager for the international break?
04:17Yeah, I think the manner of the defending, I think it's when you concede a goal,
04:22it's never a good goal to concede but yeah, of course,
04:25Morgan went through the middle of us and at that point the game was right in the balance
04:29and to concede that was a big moment for sure.
04:38I'm just looking forward to getting the boys ready for mid-week now.
04:44What would you say to the supporters, Michael?
04:46They gave you backing at the end and there was a moment between them and the players
04:49that seemed a bit further than last week.
04:52Yeah, I mean the supporters have been absolutely amazing and you know,
04:57the way they're not just turning up, it's the effort, the money they spend for that for sure
05:02but they've been really tested at the moment and they've gone through some really big highs over the years
05:08and it's easy to go the other way but the way they've stuck by all of us
05:14and supported the team and went through the second half in difficult circumstances,
05:18stay behind and that sums up exactly what they're all about
05:22and we've got to give them something to really get their teeth into in a good direction.
05:28The first half, I'm not clinging to the first half as a huge positive
05:34but I think them and the type of feelings and performances that we've got to give to them
05:40but I massively appreciate them for being what they are
05:46and they're showing everything they are at the moment, I have to say.
05:50Thanks everyone.
05:50Alright, cheers.
