00:00This is song 18 of 42. This verse comes from the book of Psalms chapter 23, verse 4, that says,
00:07Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
00:12Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. This verse help us find comfort and courage
00:17in God's presence during life's darkest and most dangerous moments.
00:31Mmm, shadows creeping up, trying to block the sun. Feels like every battle's already lost in one.
00:42I take a look around, the road is getting steep. The water's rising high and the canyon's running deep.
00:47But I turn my head, look right by my side. I got a steady hand, I got a faithful guy.
00:52Yeah, the night is dark, but I ain't backing down. Cause I know who's walking with me through this town.
01:03Even though I walk through the darkest valley floor, I will not be shaking. I won't fear no more.
01:13Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Setting every doubt and every worry free.
01:19No, I won't be afraid. No evil's gonna win. Your love is right here, holding me deep within.
01:28Holding me deep within.
01:35Footsteps echoing in the dead of night. Every whisper tells me I'm losing all my fight.
01:40The walls are closing in, heavy on my chest. Trying to steal my peace.
01:44Trying to wrap my wrist, but then I hear a voice speaking, speaking through the cold.
01:50Turning out my, my fear in a solid goal.
01:55Yeah, the night is dark, but I ain't backing down.
01:59Cause I know who's walking with me through this town.
02:05Even though I walk through the darkest valley floor, I will not be shaking. I won't fear no more.
02:15Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Setting every doubt and every worry free.
02:21No, I won't be afraid. No evil's gonna win.
02:24Your love is right here, holding me deep within.
02:27You light a torch in the middle of the cave. You're the power, healing, you're the hand to save.
02:32You lead me through the dark, right into the light. Standing right beside me every single night.
02:39You light a torch in the middle of the cave. You're the power, healing, you're the power, healing, you're the
03:07power.
03:07Me deep within
03:09No evil
03:11No fear
03:14Cause I know that
03:16I need her
03:18Walking through the valley with
03:21Baby, you're the
03:41You
