00:24now i am taking the lovely dotty as i place her on the shoot now
00:30now let me take a look at the first hoof that i shall work on and it seems that it
00:35has been
00:35overgrown for quite some time to have a better look at it i am going to wash the hoof
00:41and grab a sterilized chisel to start trimming the layers of the hoof
00:48i could see that there's something serious going on but i need to have a better look at it
00:59nothing could have prepared me for this under the layers of the hoof there was a black surface which
01:05can be because of a rock or something similar
01:16just like i thought it was this tiny rock but it caused a lot of problems to the cow's hoof
01:29so now i need to trim and treat the area where the stone used to be
01:35but look there isn't just a single one here comes the second tiny stone that i pulled out of the
01:43hoof
01:44all those rocks damaged the hoof so now the inside part of it is filled with bubbles take a look

01:52how i am slowly putting pressure to the hoof it immediately bursts with bubbles
02:07i shall leave that area rest for some moments because i am using a grinder to trim the hoof easily
02:16i am gently working my way around the area but never touching the infected part
02:34i am still leaving that side rest so that's why i shall place a block to the other side of
02:39the hoof
02:41i always make sure to properly attach the block to the hoof all based on the measurements
02:52now i am shifting my attention to the infected area so i am using the chisel to gently trim some
02:59layers of the hoof
03:03i am not working directly on the area but on the sides instead

03:33the inside part of the hoof was starting to rot and was filled with infection
03:39this is why i am always suggesting those monthly checkups for cows so they don't experience this

03:51i need to get out all the infected parts so that's why i am still using the chisel
03:59i could sense that the problem is way deeper since at the parts where i was putting pressure more pus

04:12so i need to remove all the parts off the hoof so that's why i needed to move and trim
04:18that area as well
04:19and seems that i was right
04:24the infection got way too deep in the cow's hoof so that's why i had to trim that section as
04:31well
04:37i am cleaning the area with some hydrogen peroxide so i can have a better look at it
04:45and now i shall apply some antiseptic spray which will kill any bacteria that remained in the hoof
04:53before i cover the hoof with some cotton wrap i will apply some salicylic acid too
05:00the hoof needs to be covered in such cases so it will remain without bacteria
05:05and the hoof won't be in direct touch with the ground
05:27now i am moving on to the other hoof but i am letting you know
05:30that i will come back to fully treat dotty's hoof
05:37now before i have a look at this hoof i am going to clean and remove the dirt off of

05:55now let me grab a clean chisel because i am going to trim the overgrown hoof until now the lower

06:02of the hoof is looking good but let me have a better look at it
06:29i am moving on with the grinder because it saves a lot of time and it can help
06:34me to straighten the hoof easier
06:41i am moving to the upper part of the hoof closer to the area where i think the hoof is

06:52now to treat it i am going to apply some antiseptic spray to remove all the bacteria
07:01the next step is to apply the salicylic acid and cover the hoof with some cotton bandage
07:24you might think what i am doing here well let me tell you that i am applying some heat
07:29on the tape so it will cover the hoof better and lastly i need to cover the hoof in order
07:35to be treated easier to treat this hoof i will use a grinder to straighten the hoof and to remove

07:56overgrown parts of the hoof i am going in rounds to straighten all the sides of the hoof equally
