► In this concept trailer for Spider-Man 5, Tom Holland leads as Peter Parker, who is still living in a New York that remembers Spider-Man but has no memory of the man beneath the mask, forcing him to accept that the life he once shared with MJ, played by Zendaya, and Ned Leeds, played by Jacob Batalon, may never return. Rather than forcing himself back into their lives, Peter begins forming a quiet connection with Jean Grey, portrayed by Sadie Sink, who knows him simply as Peter and gives him a chance to build a relationship free from the history he lost. At the same time, John Cena portrays Flint Marko, a desperate man whose worsening circumstances draw him deeper into his Sandman identity, creating a parallel between two men trying to survive what life has taken from them. Peter's attempt to move forward takes a troubling turn after he encounters a black symbiote that bonds with him and gives him greater strength, confidence and freedom from the fear he has carried for years, but the new suit also feeds the anger, jealousy and resentment he has kept buried. As Sandman's threat grows and Peter becomes increasingly aggressive in their confrontations, Jean becomes one of the few people connecting him to the person he still wants to be, while Flint serves as a warning of what can happen when pain and power begin controlling someone's choices. Peter has finally accepted that moving on does not mean betraying MJ, Ned or the life he lost, but his real test becomes whether he can build something new without allowing the symbiote to decide what kind of man that new Peter Parker will become.
