00:00Sports stories are life stories. Fearless athletes and passionate coaches can
00:05inspire and motivate us through any struggle. So here are four films you can
00:09watch now on Prime Video that capture the power of those gutsy sports heroes.
00:14The first one to stream is Warrior. Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton play estranged
00:18brothers both entering the hard-hitting world of mixed martial arts, with Nick
00:21Nolte in an Oscar-nominated performance playing their father a recovering
00:25alcoholic. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't. These are
00:30definitely imperfect heroes and they're facing the ultimate tests of strength
00:33both in and out of the cage as they grapple with their past mistakes. Mom
00:37needed you, I needed you, you're my big brother, you bailed on me. The fighting hits
00:41you right in the gut. You'll feel every kick, punch, and throw. So it's no
00:46surprise that Joel Edgerton actually tore his MCL and Tom Hardy broke some toes,
00:51ribs, and a finger making this film.
00:54And here's a win for you. All the movies we're recommending here and many more can
00:59earn you rewards just by watching on Prime Video. You'll get a $5 credit toward
01:03Cheez-It products on Amazon, plus a $5 Prime Video credit while supplies last
01:08when you watch 10 hours of select content. It's all part of the Cheez-It
01:12Snapped and Stream experience. Just sign up at Amazon.com slash Cheez-It Snapped.
01:17Our next pick is a 2018 documentary that premiered at South by Southwest called
01:21Chi-Town. This film defines what it means for an athlete to be a hero to his
01:25family, his friends, and his entire community. I feel like I'm the person who's
01:30placed in a position to help my family the most. The doc follows basketball
01:34player Kiefer Sykes from his days at Marshall High School on the west side of
01:37Chicago all the way up to the 2015 NBA Draft. We won't spoil whether he makes the
01:43cut. It's a nail-biter. I know like the odds of going to the NBA so I'll just use
01:48basketball to get as far as I can. Kiefer demonstrates incredible
01:51perseverance as he pushes himself on the court and endures the violent
01:54realities in his hometown. Every day you step outside your house you just have
01:58that fear that something may go wrong and you have no control over it. Now let's hop
02:02into the ring for this next one with another family of fighters but with a much
02:06lighter tone than Warrior. 2019's Fighting With My Family is based on the life story of WWE
02:12superstar Paige who grew up in a family full of wrestlers in Norwich England.
02:17You're from that weird family aren't you? We're not weird. Florence Pugh nails the
02:22brash unpolished style of the real-life wrestler as she rises up the ranks. You
02:26get all the sports movie inspirational moments you want, a relatable family
02:29story, and it's funny. Probably shouldn't swear and when there's ladies
02:33present, sorry miss. It all clicks thanks to writer-director Stephen Merchant known
02:38for his many collaborations with Ricky Gervais and the excellent ensemble cast
02:42including Lena Headey, Nick Frost, Jack Loudon, and of course The Rock.
02:47We've been fine since you had hair. Oh thank you, hey it's a choice. And for our last
02:52recommendation we've got an under-the-radar gem called The Nomads. It's
02:56inspired by a true story of the teachers who brought British rugby to an inner-city
03:00Philadelphia high school. Yeah, rugby. It's like a wussy British version of
03:05football. The Nomads follows in the footsteps of films like Remember the
03:08Titans and Hoosiers using the powerful bonds between coaches and student
03:13athletes to tug at our heartstrings, but it's not overly sappy. It leans hard into
03:17the real issues faced by the kids in and outside of school. You're gonna practice in
03:21jeans? I'm running from 5-0 just fine in these. Tiga Sumpter and Tate Donovan play
03:25down-to-earth coaches for this movie and their heroics are impactful and
03:29refreshing. Thanks for having my back. It's my job, isn't it? Whatever your sport
03:34choice you'll find some serious inspiration from these movies and
03:37remember all four can score you rewards just by watching if you go to
03:41Amazon.com slash cheese it snapped. Snapped, stream, repeat. Now go suit up and
03:47don't forget to stretch your remote control finger. If you do it right, viewing is a
03:51full contact sport.
