00:00The Adani Group is an enormous business and it's one of the great progenitors of change and advance in India.
00:10So when we look at India's very rapid economic growth, the fastest growing large economy in the world,
00:20it is fueled in significant part by the advance of infrastructure and the Adani Group is playing a huge role
00:28in that.
00:30But I want to come to the name of the Adani Group, okay?
00:35Consider a big infrastructure company in the United States, SpaceX, or Amazon, or Meta, or Google.
00:49There isn't a family name in that.
00:54These are not businesses that represent families' values, what we heard from Dr. Adani.
01:05These are not businesses that carry the name and the responsibility of a family that feels a question, what do
01:16we give to society?
01:18We heard Dr. Adani talk about how the family feels about what it's doing.
01:27And I can say that I hear the same from families in other places where there are third or fourth
01:37generation family businesses.
01:42In Italy, we were just with a leading pharmaceutical company in its third generation.
01:49We were with one of the great coffee companies in their third generation Illy company.
01:57A family business is different.
02:00Now, I think all businesses should have that sense that we are not here for some financial bottom line, no
02:13matter where it comes from,
02:15no matter what risks it imposes, no matter what costs it imposes to others.
02:20But we are a moral entity.
02:25That is going to be recaptured by deeper wisdom.
