01:08No deaths or injuries have been reported so far.
01:12However, several trees and electricity poles were uprooted,
01:16according to the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority.
01:20Authorities began evacuating residents on Monday,
01:23with around 30,000 people expected to be moved to safer areas.
01:27Cyclone Murasu formed over the Bay of Bengal,
01:30a region prone to tropical storms that frequently affect India's eastern coastline.
01:35The weather department warned that Andhra Pradesh and neighboring Tamil Nadu
01:40could bear the brunt of the storm.
01:42Last week, Cyclone Arnab claimed at least six lives after making landfall in Andhra Pradesh.
