Falling in love with a fake girl tells an unconventional campus romance about unexpected attraction, personal identity, and the courage to be different. Alex, a tomboy football captain, accidentally kisses transfer student Ethan after believing the student is a girl.
The truth that Ethan is actually a boy changes their relationship into something neither of them expected. As their connection develops, they encounter campus teasing and the difficulties of keeping their romance private.
When a leaked video exposes their relationship, they face the reactions of others and the pressure of traditional gender expectations. Instead of pretending to be someone they are not, Alex and Ethan choose to embrace their authentic selves.
