00:24Alright Darren, it's nice having you here. So, coming to Malaysia, what are the key skills that you perhaps want
00:30your players to develop?
00:32For us, it's really just important for them to get the experience of travelling to another country, learning to play
00:39on different conditions and different golf courses.
00:42In particular here, the grasses are very different to what we have at home and if the kids want to
00:48aspire to be world-class golfers,
00:51they have to learn to play in these conditions.
00:53So, how do you see the opportunities in collaboration between Malaysia and Australia especially in long term plans?
00:59Well, we've been really lucky to be working with the Malaysia Golf Association for the last couple of years and
01:04had some of their players come and play in Perth.
01:07We've had the opportunity to come and play here a number of times and it's been really great for the
01:12kids.
01:12They've made some lasting friendships but also learnt a lot and improved their golf in Asia.
01:17So, how would you perhaps describe the standard in Gold Malaysia?
01:22They've got some very good players. They've got some really, really great players, really, really good people as well that
01:28our kids like coming to see.
01:31And I think, collectively, it's great for your players and our players to just see other players from other parts
01:38of the world and how they are.
01:39We have a lot of great players in Australia that you don't get to see very often.
01:43So, clearly, the development of this is not just a part of the ability but it's a part of the
01:51process of the players of the players that are more competitive.
01:55Thank you very much for Nadia Arena.
01:58Thank you.
