00:00Leipzig line up it's a back three as usual but Marcel Halstenberg comes into
00:05that three. Amadou Haidara playing on the left with Angelino not in the squad
00:11he is disappointed Julian Nagelsmann recently and interesting that Hwang who
00:15started the league meeting of the sides at the weekend gets the nod once more
00:20there is a place though for Alexander Zürrloth. So that's how it looks for RB
00:26Leipzig. How about Borussia Dortmund? Roman Bürki back in goal because Marvin Hitz
00:32picked up a knee injury at the weekend. This is the back four that we've been
00:37seeing of late. Łukasz Piszczek at 35 his sixth Pokal final. Emre Can. Jude
00:44Bellingham back from suspension. Marco Reus the captain Mo Dahoud who's been
00:50playing superbly. Jadon Sancho on the right now. Gio Marcel Halstenberg
00:56actually left-footed player. Playing on the left-hand side of that back three.
01:03And nipping in Marco Reus and here's Erling Horner. He's holding it up for Dahoud. Sancho and he takes on
01:12the shot.
01:13It's brilliant. Jadon Sancho.
01:18What a start from Borussia Dortmund.
01:24Perfect from Sancho. And just what Edin Terzic and the Schwarz-Gammer wanted here in Berlin.
01:36So much of this last couple weeks of the form which has catapulted Borussia Dortmund
01:42back into the Champions League spots has come with the resurrection in the form of Jadon Sancho.
01:49Erling Haaland makes the initial run. Dahoud comes back into the side.
01:53But then Sancho with white shirts all around him just clears the space.
01:58And so much confidence flowing through Sancho as he just curls this past Gulacchi with no chance.
02:07And Borussia Dortmund off to a tremendous start.
02:13Well, he has been the man for goals in the portal.
02:17Jadon Sancho, that's five now this season.
02:21Another of those players who can slot into a few different positions.
02:25Noddi Nukiele.
02:27Now, Haaland. He can do damage from here.
02:31Erling Haaland.
02:32And places it for the second Dortmund goal.
02:37Erling Haaland.
02:41Well, it is a picture of Schwarzgerb.
02:48It's all going Bögelsee at Dortmund's way.
02:51And if you were wondering what the fuss is all about regarding Haaland,
02:57you've just seen it.
03:00Like the first goal, Derek, you just can't afford to lose possession in midfield.
03:04Well, that time it's just an errant pass and a great cut ball back from Marco Reus to Haaland.
03:11Then Haaland just does an excellent job holding off Upamecano,
03:14whose form has not been great since the announcement of him going to Bayern Munich.
03:19And Haaland touches the ball wide, uses his physicality,
03:24puts Upamecano on the floor,
03:26and then has the composure just to flip it with his left foot past Gulacchi.
03:32Two shots, two goals.
03:34And Borussia Dortmund are on their way.
03:38Well, it's a very valid point you've raised, Casey, about Dayo Upamecano.
03:44He's gone off the boil.
03:46His form has not been great.
03:49And just what would...
03:52When you string together victories, as they've been doing,
03:56it speaks to that.
03:59Haaland.
04:02And there's Upamecano to meet him.
04:05The play's going to continue.
04:07Advantage with Borussia Dortmund.
04:09And it's Jadon Sancho who's simply got to score.
04:16Well, is that going to count?
04:18I don't think so.
04:21Marco Reus giving it to Sancho.
04:24The flag raised at the end.
04:26We'll have to wait and see.
04:29I'm wondering, Derek, where was the offside?
04:32Was it earlier on Royce right here?
04:35I don't think so.
04:36That looks...
04:37I don't think so.
04:38It's there.
04:39And I just don't see Sancho catching up and getting in front of the ball.
04:44So...
04:46Look, I have no problem.
04:48Raise the flag.
04:48Go back to video review, as they do with every goal.
04:51But I don't see an offside, at least with the naked eye.
04:57Well, yellow for Upamecano.
05:01And the goal has been given.
05:03I don't think there was any real doubt about it.
05:08Once we saw the replays.
05:10And it's 3-0 to Bokulsio Dortmund.
05:14It's Sancho at the double.
05:16And realistically, is there a way back for Leipzig here in Berlin?
05:24And that's the tough part.
05:26You know, tactically with Nagelsmann.
05:29Trying to keep possession deep in the Dortmund half.
05:32Allowing that space.
05:35They just dynamically cannot run with the attack.
05:38And, you know, the unselfishness, once again, of the captain, Marco Reus,
05:43to find the in-form Jadon Sancho,
05:46who has so much time and space to cut it back inside off his left foot.
05:50And then, as Gulachi helplessly tries to get back,
05:55he said, overhit it.
05:56You're not going to get countered.
05:58And as that gets cut off, now RB Leipzig on the attack.
06:01Danny Ormo, here's Leipzig.
06:05And trying to feed it back.
06:07Birke couldn't hold on to it.
06:09And Forsberg off the woodwork.
06:12And it looked as though it might be routine for Birke.
06:16Then Nkunku tried to line something up.
06:18But away goes Sancho.
06:20And nicely read by Marcel Halstendijk.
06:23Again, though, Sancho has enough experience.
06:26If you're going to miss that ball, you have to miss the ball deep.
06:29And instead, the pressure just continues.
06:32Fortunately, it's just one of those days.
06:34I think it's going to be our RB Leipzig.
06:37It's a cracking goal!
06:39And there's the shot in the arm.
06:43Leipzig needed.
06:45Danny Ormo, spectacular.
06:49I'm not sure that Birke even saw that one.
06:54I was just about to say, Derek,
06:56I don't think after that miss from Forsberg,
06:59that they could just keep playing for maybe two matches
07:02and not score a goal.
07:04And then out of nothing,
07:06Danny Ormo smashes this ball past Birke
07:10to give RB Leipzig a late lifeline.
07:14And it has to be.
07:19Leipzig trying to do everything in their power
07:22to grab a second.
07:27Dortmund continue to play on the break.
07:29And that means Jadon Sancho.
07:30And they might really be on to something here
07:33with Hazard and Haaland in support.
07:36Henning Haaland.
07:37And there's the shot for Haaland.
07:40And that will do it from Ogozia Dortmund.
07:43That is going to make certain
07:45that the Schwarz-Gilben
07:47will be lifting the pot
07:50in 2021.
07:53And Haaland with a double
07:55to match the earlier
07:57brace from Jadon Sancho.
08:02It hasn't been a pretty second half
08:03from Dortmund.
08:04But now they can breathe more easily.
08:07This goal summarizes
08:10the second half of Borussia Dortmund.
08:13Great ball out wide.
08:15Sancho just sneaks out
08:16into that right-hand spot.
08:17The counter-attack is on.
08:19This ball goes back behind Erling Haaland.
08:22And then as he slips,
08:24hits it off his plant foot.
08:27And completely wrong foot Scullachi.
08:29And nothing has gone right
08:34for Borussia Dortmund in the second half.
08:36RB Leipzig, by far the better team.
08:40Missed opportunity after opportunity.
08:43And then Dortmund get on the counter.
08:45And Erling Haaland slips,
08:48hits it off the plant foot.
08:50And makes it comfortable.
