00:00No idea what's gonna happen next
00:07What what scream what scream this Halloween instead
00:10Horror recommendations for Halloween. I mean could it be anything else?
00:15I've literally got the t-shirt the substance is such a brilliant body horror
00:21Extravaganza I'd say see it with a crowd, but it's not in cinemas anymore. So invite a few friends over
00:26on Halloween night
00:28Don't tell them what it's about and just see where you all go. Oh
00:32My god, I didn't go in my mouth properly
00:35Someone's gonna do it and that person is gonna be me
00:38I am recommending John Carpenter's The Thing this year and every year
00:42It's the original horror cult classic that has gone on to inspire so many movies and this year in particular
00:482026 is Resident Evil really cribbed from it as well
00:51So yeah, if you haven't watched the thing yet, why not? And if you have watched it, just watch it
00:56again
00:56I'm in an exorcist mood right now. I'm gonna recommend
00:59Legion or Exorcist 3 and I actually have the book here because the book's fantastic and I and I love
01:04I love William Peter
01:05Bly's fiction so much. So yeah, Exorcist 3 go watch it
01:10Fantastic piece of cinema watch it on Halloween if you dare
01:14For me it has to be Poltergeist. I love that movie so much
01:17It has been a huge part of my childhood since while I was a child
01:20It's somehow both inappropriate for children, but completely appropriate at the same time
01:24And I think it's a really good entryway into the spooky horror space where there's the one guy gets to
01:29turn his face off
01:30But then that is still kind of tame while still absolutely terrifying
01:33Please watch Poltergeist. It'll creep your kids out and it'll probably creep you out as well
01:37Now I could recommend any of the fantastic horror movies I've seen over the course of my life
01:42Be it Alien or the movies of Robert Eggers
01:46But you know what? I'm just gonna give you something which I think might scare you more than anything and
01:51might completely ruin your day
01:52your week or your month because that's what happened to me when I heard about a film called begotten if
01:59you want something that is going to
02:01be completely unpredictable and
02:03Really have you watching that the entire thing?
02:07Through your fingers like that no idea what's gonna happen next and no idea what horrors you're gonna be subjected
02:13to
02:14Just go for it. It's a really bad time and I fully recommend it
02:20There are those out there that say halloween is christmas for jerks not me however as an amazing presenter slash
02:25genius
02:26But also a coward I don't deal with horror movies instead
02:29I spend this time of year watching all the halloween heist episodes from brooklyn 9-9
02:34So don't spend halloween with freddy or jason or that weird clown thing spend it with jake and the 9
02:41-9
