00:00Coffee with Karen Season 7 Episode 9 Recap
00:03Coffee with Karen Season 7 Episode 9 starts on the note of how good it feels to be able
00:10to premiere and watch films in theaters, after the pandemic and Karen Johar talks about trial
00:16shows. Where honest opinions could dampen the spirits of the filmmaker before the film's
00:21release to the public. Then he calls on the Harapinty duo, who have made a name for themselves
00:27since then. The synopsis of the episode reads, While Joe
00:32wants to set up Kriti Sinan with a young actor who is not Tiger Shroff, Tiger admits to giving
00:38in to a co-star's advances. They discuss work, life and everything in between.
00:43As Kriti Sinan and Tiger Shroff walk onto the set, Johar comments that they look like bubble
00:49gum. If you see them together then it does look like that, with Kriti's pink outfit that
00:55makes the sweet pink part of the gum and Tiger's yellowish outfit resembling the white, creamy
01:00neutral half of the bubble gum.
01:03Anyway, right off the bat, the host asks them about their debut film and if they hit off
01:09from the start, in terms of chemistry and working together. Here a piece of interesting information
01:15is revealed, when Kriti thought she is here for an audition, for Tiger it was a look test
01:20for the camera. I mean that's a star kid privilege, apart from that we get to know that Kriti had
01:27auditioned for student of the year. She further explains that it was her very first audition
01:33for a film and had to dance to the song Bahara and act in a scene from the film Wake
01:37Up Sid.
01:38Johar further reveals that everyone who auditioned had to do that and maybe he should find Kriti's
01:44audition tape like he has Alia Batts one. He then moves on to Tiger Shroff and it wouldn't
01:50be KWK if his first question isn't about the love lives. He tries to find out if the duo
01:56had anything going on between them since most of the debut leads, from the same film, start
02:02dating eventually. But he denies it and even we can feel a friendly vibe between them if anything. He
02:08then moves on to Tiger Shroff and it wouldn't be KWK if his first question isn't about the
02:14love. He tries to find out if the duo had anything going on between them since most of the debut
02:20leads, from the same film, start dating eventually. But he denies it and even we can feel a friendly
02:27vibe between them if anything.
02:30Karen Johar then tries to pry about Dissapate Huni and if Tiger is with her, but he maintains
02:35a good friend status. When he didn't get the answer he wanted, he targets Kriti and her
02:41closeness to Aditya Roy Kapoor, basically pushing the thought in her mind that they should date
02:46and she should manifest it on the couch. Even Tiger want them to get together, as they would
02:52look good. Moving on to their careers, the host congratulates Kriti for her performance
02:58in Mimi and asks if she feels competition with her counterparts, just so he can mention
03:04Ailey Abad, again, as the best actress right now. She maintains her calm composure and answers.
03:11With some calm and obeying guests on the show, Johar has an inquisition with them, so that
03:17he can get something gossipy out of them. Led on to Rapid Fire Round, where Tiger Shroff certainly
03:24shined and for once it felt like a rapid fire with some good answers. Kriti Sinan responded
03:30like other guests on the show by dragging the answers and maintaining the goody two-shoes
03:35image.
03:36Coffee with Karen Season 7 Episode 9, Final Thoughts
03:41Tiger won the round with 58% votes and got the image of a person who flips a lot, and
03:47that
03:47can be taken in any sense. In the last Slam Zone, they tied up with their Bollywood quiz answers
03:54and Kriti Sinan won the round by calling Prabhas and Kartikarian. Overall, the episode was somewhat
04:01calm as the guest was rather reserved in revealing anything. Tiger showed a contradicting personality
04:08and made the episode fun.
