Raised in an orphanage, Valerie (code name: Nyx) is suddenly brought home by her mob-boss father, Arthur — not out of love, but to take the place of his spoiled, beloved fake daughter, Gemma, and honor the marriage contract with Damian, heir to the Thorne family, left wheelchair-bound after a car crash.
What no one knows is that the discarded daughter they mean to use as a pawn is anything but powerless.
