coffee's hot, and here's the scene in Agent of Shadows that got me, and it's not an action scene.
Five in the morning. A kitchen. He's making a packed lunch, and he's bad at it — cuts the sandwich wrong, can't find the lid, reads the note twice before writing one.
Then he puts it in the bag and stands there for a second.
That's it. That's the whole scene. The most capable man in the world, unable to do the smallest ordinary thing without checking, because he's terrified of getting it wrong in a way that can't be fixed.
I've packed a lot of lunches. Nobody's ever filmed it. Somebody should have.
✨ What worked for me:
- No music. Just the fridge and the tap.
- He writes the note and then puts it back in his pocket.
✨ Bottom line: a family drama disguised as a spy thriller.
Who packed your lunch growing up? Tell me.
