00:57Nuestros países decidieron construir un espacio de encuentro sobre la base de una historia,
01:02una cultura y unos valores compartidos. Pero Ibero-America es mucho más que la memoria.
01:08Precisely in this context Foreign Minister Oliver Blanco participated on Thursday on behalf of
01:15Venezuela at the Ibero-American Summit. In this regard, Blanco highlighted the
01:20efforts made in Venezuela by Acting President Elsie Rodríguez regarding the
01:24political, institutional and economic transformation the country is
01:28undergoing, as well as the passage of the Amnesty Law which has benefited more
01:33than 800 people, as well as the restoration of access to 38 news sites with
01:39the aim of expanding media diversity and spaces for public debate. Blanco stated
01:45that these initiatives represent a starting point and acknowledged that
01:49transformations require continuity participation and concrete results. The
01:54official also cited projections from the Economic Commission for Latin America and
01:59the Caribbean, noting that they forecast a 6.5 percent economic growth for
02:04Venezuela this year with 22 consecutive quarters of expansion.
02:13We want every investment to lead to more jobs, higher incomes, high quality public services and
02:19new opportunities for Venezuelan families because we aspire to economic development that serves
02:25the vast majority. Growth that translates into well-being, opportunities and shared prosperity.
02:30On this path, we consider it essential to move towards lifting the economic and financial
02:35restrictions affecting Venezuela in order to expand trade, diversify exports and facilitate
02:41productive investment. Our reintegration into the international community also presents an
02:46opportunity for our Ibero-American partners, offering new markets, investment, cooperation and greater
02:53prospects for shared development. In this regard, today, within the framework of this meeting,
02:59Venezuela will deposit the instrument of ratification of the multilateral Ibero-American Social Security Convention.
