Transcript
00:00Paul, I was so curious about, you know, having Jason Blum as a producer on this.
00:05Was there ever a conversation to kind of lean into horror within this because he's a producer?
00:10No, no. I mean, I mean, Jason and I have made, we made Lost Bus together.
00:20No, we didn't have a conversation about horror.
00:22He just, you know, he's a great producer because he just encouraged us to make the film we wanted to
00:27make.
00:28And, you know, what we wanted to make was a, you know, a big historical epic with a lot of
00:35heart and soul and, you know, a movie a bit like Gladiator or Braveheart.
00:39Those are the kind of movies I loved those movies.
00:42And, you know, you need to go back in time, but also it's really quite contemporary.
00:49And, you know, thanks to these guys, you have characters that you want to follow whose destinies you really care
00:54about.
00:55And, you know, you have an intimate story, a love story in the middle of it.
01:00And, you know, a central character goes on a journey.
01:03So, you know, you have to try and fashion a big piece of cinema.
01:08If people are going to come out, they've got to feel like they've had an entertainment for two hours.
01:14You know, that's okay.
01:14And so then, you know, if we want to make a movie, let's see.
01:14So, if we can burn them down, you'll have to absolutely let's see.
01:17And, you know, there's a lot of fun.
01:17And I'll just like a piece of it.
