00:00The head of the Arab Majority Joint List Alliance, Youssef Jabarin, has endorsed Gadi Escort over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
00:09to form a government on the second day of consultation with President Isaac Hezog in Jerusalem.
00:15The Arab Majority List won an unprecedented 19th seat in the election, making them potential kingmakers if Escon's opposition chooses
00:24to work with them, something which remains unclear.
00:30We have disagreements with Gadi Escort on many issues.
00:33We are not choosing between the good and the better, but between the bad and the worse.
00:37As far as we are concerned from our perspective, and we know very well what this government means,
00:44we need for the sake of our people, the Arab public, but also for the entire Israeli public, most of
00:49the Israeli public, to replace this terrible government.
00:56As Hezog said, we'll make a choice on Sunday, but additionally the mandate is given to the person recommended by
01:03more parliament members.
01:0567 picked Escort, 46 opted for Netanyahu, while 7 abstained.
01:16We intend to use this political power precisely to realize the objective for which the people turned out in such
01:23large numbers to support us.
01:24Our primary goal, and the top priority on our agenda, is to oust the Netanyahu Ben-Vir Smotrich government, a
01:34racist government, a government of Kahanists and fascists.
01:40Both Arab lists on Thursday say they were backing Escort.
01:44However, another party in Escort's camp, right-wing Israel, Beitenu, has repeatedly indicated that it will not sit in the
01:52government that relies on support from Arab parties.
