00:00There was a football game on Thursday.
00:01It may not have seemed like it.
00:03It seemed like there was just a slot bowl.
00:05But, you know, the Ravens and the Jaguars played.
00:09Jacksonville just absolutely torched the Ravens.
00:12And listen, this is a Ravens team down to its third quarterback, Vignano.
00:16People love the story of Vignano.
00:20But I didn't even...
00:21They did.
00:22Everyone's like, oh, look at the third stringer.
00:24Look at him getting his opportunity.
00:26John, I would love for you because I'm sick of it.
00:27Dude, we need better quarterbacks in this league.
00:30This is unbelievable.
00:32Can we stop it with the story like this guy had a chance in this game?
00:37Can we stop it when we stop doing this?
00:40Like an undrafted guy that makes it to this point.
00:46It's cool that his family's watching the game.
00:48That's great.
00:49It's great.
00:50His wife and his brother are in the stands.
00:51You show them.
00:52They get a showing because after that, stop trying to talk this guy up
00:56unless he does something.
00:58I'm watching this game and Al Michaels and Kurt Curbsy are talking about this guy
01:04like he can actually play.
01:07The Ravens offensive coordinator, God bless his heart.
01:12He dug so deep in his bag, he almost put something out someplace he wasn't posed to.
01:17Bro, these plays they were running, he was trying.
01:20He was, that offensive coordinator gave you everything he had.
01:24He emptied the bag.
01:26Boy, they could barely make a first down.
01:29John, look at this offensive line coach.
01:30He was so mad.
01:33It ain't, it ain't you yelling at the wrong people, big fella.
01:37You post, you should be yelling at the people who they snapping a ball to.
01:42This is, but this is the situation.
01:43You wouldn't have traded, you wouldn't have traded for a starting quarterback
01:48from another team to come to your team if this guy was any good.
01:53You wouldn't do it.
01:54And so I understand that it's a television product
01:56and you trying to give folks a story, but at some point,
01:59you just got to call a spade, a spade and go,
02:02well, he's out, he's struggling tonight.
02:04Right.
02:05And that was obvious after the first, after the first,
02:09after the opening drive, it was clear he was going to struggle.
02:13Then it started raining, which, you know,
02:15y'all know how I feel about these weather games.
02:17It started raining.
02:18And at that point, what are we watching?
02:20What are we watching?
02:22He, he was no match for the, he was no match for the Jaguars.
02:25And that's a good team.
02:26If Stu Puntley is in that game, the Ravens have a chance in that game.
02:30So you can't really be like, oh, it was, it was everybody else.
02:33No, it was him.
02:34It was him.
02:36Stop telling us the fairy tale story, bro.
02:38And just let us, we can see the game.
02:41We can see it.
02:42Who's a, why am I blanking on the name?
02:45The dude from the Giants, the Italian guy that everyone was so.
02:49Oh yeah.
02:50DeVito.
02:50A couple years.
02:51Tommy DeVito.
02:52Tommy DeVito.
02:53Everyone was going crazy about him and he was not good.
02:56And it was just like, oh, he's got his family,
02:59he's Italian and his agents there with the chain and yay.
03:02And the fedora.
03:02I think it was a fedora the guy kept wearing.
03:04Yeah.
03:05Yeah.
03:05And he, dude, I got a, good for him.
03:08He got a commercial and some endorsements out of it.
03:10But in any case, so John, you mentioned the, the quarterback situation.
03:15My man, 60 yards and a blowout.
03:18What are we talking about?
03:18I mean, it was just a disaster and it was a disaster last week.
03:22Like this is not new that the Ravens went to Fignano last week and it was an absolute disaster.
03:27I think he had like a few good throws and people like, oh, oh, oh, like, come on, man, relax.
03:34But you mentioned about the quarterback because they did trade for Jacoby Brissett,
03:38which was actually, in my opinion, a really good trade for them.
03:41If they're still serious about winning this year and you look at this Ravens team, they're going to be four
03:44and five.
03:45So it's not like they're completely out of it.
03:47Right.
03:47They're kind of still in sort of the mix.
03:50It's getting a little bit late, but again, they're still trying to what?
03:55I mean, listen, they're not eliminated yet.
03:57So you've got to still keep trying to fight and hope that Lamar comes back before the end of the
04:01season.
04:01I mean, that's just their philosophy, is it not?
04:04They still feel they wouldn't have traded for Brissett if it wasn't for this.
04:08They still feel like they're in it, right?
04:11I mean, yes, from a standpoint of what you're saying.
04:14Now, I don't believe in the building.
04:16Right, right.
04:17I had to check myself.
04:18In the building, they should still feel like they have a chance.
04:21In reality, when you look up and you see the teams that you're behind and in your division,
04:28you're not in a situation where it's the NFC South, where because the division is bad, you have a chance,
04:33or the AFC South, which used to be that situation, but it's not anymore because Jacksonville's running away with that
04:38division.
04:39So in your division, if you can't keep up in your division, it's less likely that you will make the
04:45playoffs.
04:45That's just the way that this thing has rolled for a while because, again, in their division alone,
04:50you probably got three teams completing for a playoff spot, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Cleveland.
04:59So I find it hard-pressed to think that they'll get in when you have two playoff teams in front
05:03of you
05:04that are also in your division.
