00:00It, to me, does kind of slightly highlight the problem with the awards in general.
00:04You know, in the old days, the Grammys and the Oscars and things like that were these massive, massive, big
00:11deals.
00:11And part of me does feel that this is a kind of striking out to try and get some relevance
00:17again from the people involved.
00:19As, you know, the cultural consciousness, we've talked about this so much, but it's all shifting.
00:23It's all shifting away from America.
00:25It's all, they're losing their hold on, I guess, a little bit on the kind of soft power stuff that
00:32they once had.
00:33And it is shifting to South Asia and places like this.
00:37So it's interesting.
00:38It underlines the fact that really what the Grammys want to do is give best album to an American act.
00:44You know, sometimes it goes to Brits, as Jamie's saying, but basically it's American producers, it's American record labels.
00:49That's what it's for because they're based in the USA.
00:51So it's saying, yeah, let's reflect what's happening over there.
00:53But actually, we are an American awards ceremony and that is in their DNA, isn't it?
