00:00In this video, I'll take a look at actor Rod Steiger.
00:03He was in the 1967 Southern mystery drama In the Heat of the Night.
00:08The story dealt with racial issues in a small Mississippi town.
00:14Sidney Poitier, Warren Oates, and Lee Grant were also in this cast.
00:18Steiger won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in this,
00:24and additionally, the film won Best Picture.
00:27I thought Rod Steiger may resemble Richard Burton,
00:31and additionally, another actor, actress, or group from some movie, TV series, etc.
00:37I was not quite sure of.
00:40You can note the lightness to Burton in some stills.
00:45I would recommend getting some motion picture material from the 1950s or 60s.
00:52Alright, connections.
00:531979 World War II film Breakthrough starred both Rod Steiger and Richard Burton,
01:01along with Robert Mitchum, Michael Parks, and Kurt Juergens.
01:06Breakthrough is a sequel to Sam Peckinpah's Cross of Iron,
01:09which starred James Coburn and Maximilian Schell.
