Evan Cole is just a risk-control associate at Hawthorne Group—a twenty-five-year-old nobody trying to keep his head down in modern Los Angeles. Then the founder's will turns his life upside down: Victor Hawthorne, the dead patriarch, has left Evan independent command of 11.7% of the family trust's decisive voting rights. For sixty days, he must live among the heirs, evaluate them, and choose who will lead the empire.
The candidates could not be more different.
