00:00who is Maisy Lee Donner in The Hunger Games.
00:02I make videos about movies and TV series, if you like them, subscribe.
00:05This is a character in the new Hunger Games that people who have read the novel already know.
00:10and which could play a crucial role in Amitch's story.
00:13In Sunrise on the Harvest, she is portrayed by McKenna Grace.
00:17What's particularly interesting is that Maisy Lee already has a connection to the story told in the
00:23original trilogy.
00:24In the novels, she is one of the tribes from district 12 selected for the 50th Hunger Games.
00:29And she maintains an important relationship with Amitch during the competition.
00:33But why does his character deserve so much attention?
00:35Through her, history does not simply recount a succession of deadly trials.
00:39It also shows what happens when teenagers are forced to choose between trust and their own survival.
00:45You might need someone to survive, even though games normally only allow one
00:50sole winner.
00:51The official synopsis of the film also confirms that Amitch will form an unexpected alliance with Maisy Lee.
00:57And we wonder how we can build a genuine relationship when a system seeks precisely to destroy all solidarity.
01:04This is one of the strongest themes in The Hunger Games, and we'll see how they handle it.
01:07to be addressed in the new film.
