00:13We
00:29We hope that being in the city that gives the Nobel Peace Prize also invites to more reflection
00:40in how the artists present their work because it's very meaningful. Hopefully we send a
00:47stronger message by dedicating our festival to the topic of peace. And again, it is about
00:54imagining what peace is on many different levels. It's also about the global peace, the international
01:00peace, but it's also on a personal level what peace is for you as a person.
01:06We asked a lot of people around the world, especially in these six countries that are
01:11part of the festival, what is peace for you? To just say it in one word. And it was really
01:17interesting answers like father, friendship, mother, friends, things like that. Not always
01:25no war or other stuff.
01:43I definitely think that art can change things. Not like stop a war, but it can get more people
01:52to want to stop a war because life is too precious to have wars and conflicts and all
02:00that.
02:01I think it's not only the meaning, but also the task of culture and art to really point
02:07a light on this very meaningful word and attitude, I'd say.
02:10I think it means freedom. For me, that's what it means. The freedom to leave, the freedom
02:17to exist with each other, the freedom to be able to move within the world. So that is
02:24what peace means to me. The sense of freedom to just leave and coexist with everyone around.
