00:02For our live coverage of this eagerly awaited contest
00:05It should provide some terrific entertainment on what is turning into a rather imperfect afternoon
00:12The weathermen rarely get it wrong and they have warned us that there is rain on its way
00:18Shouldn't be bad enough in any sense meaningfully to impact on the game of football
00:23Big chance!
00:26Savage tries to clear
00:30And that has been clubbed away
00:41Good challenge stood up well against his man
00:44He is not one readily to admit defeat
00:47Don't be surprised if he tries that again
00:53Parolo
00:55Ciao Miranda
00:57Lazio have been in fine form in front of goal
01:00And have not failed to score in any of their last five games
01:08Loi
01:13Driving on a real charge here
01:17Great lead!
01:19Good enough try
01:20Good effort
01:21Very good effort
01:22He would have at least wanted to make the keeper work though
01:33Radu plays it forward
01:40And it's Caicedo
01:42Gets it back
01:46Pinged forward
01:47Gets it back
01:49Gets it back
01:53Gets it back
01:55Milan
01:55Coming to this game
01:56Off a rampant performance last time
01:58Mood is good
02:00Gets it back
02:06Gets it back
02:17Some good play on the left hand side
02:20Some good play on the left hand side
02:20Now to profit from it
02:22Finds himself eased off the ball
02:27Jarvis
02:30Oh it's up
02:31Goes for goal
02:33Oh what a wonderful stop
02:35Oh that's a sparkling save
02:37Absolutely sparkling
02:38His reflexes were ultra sharp
02:46Pirello gets it away
02:51Caicedo
02:52Huttling down that right flank
02:54He gets past his man
03:00Caicedo
03:01Not easily shrugged off the ball
03:04They didn't manage to get nearly enough into the box
03:07And that speaks of little ambition
03:21That's good progress he's made on the ball
03:24Where to next
03:26It's a very good battle there
03:28Terrific to watch
03:35Here's over the line
03:42He's left his man
03:44Chance
03:46Chance
03:48Just off target
03:50A more than decent attempt
04:20Peter
04:33Savage
04:34Savage
04:34In his previous fixture
04:36Opened the scoring
04:37Turning it across
04:38Tries to switch to play
04:42Battles to win it back
04:44Forward it goes
04:45Forward it goes
04:47He's through the middle
04:48Oh that is asking for trouble
04:51Jarvis
04:53Goal
04:58Milan are really pouncing on any straight passes in midfield
05:01We're talking seconds from interception to the back of the net
05:04It's counter attacking heaven
05:11Happy to switch
05:12In front of the net
05:17We're talking to him
05:19Exchange
05:20In front of the net
05:24We're talking to the taker
05:24In front of the net
05:25In front of the net
05:35Frostman harbour
05:35Paulitures
05:35ore Albert
05:54a one-nil lead established he's just gone and reminded us yet again of what a threat he carries
06:10he's made sure that that won't get through
06:19the rollo hardly anything between the sides and the score is 1-0 going through as Serbi gets his foot
06:31in
06:33there as Serbi did well to emerge with the ball that's a contest to keep an eye on
06:40there's a hit he has done it all too easy they are in danger of disappearing out of sight
06:51his position was perfect the invitation was there for him and his response absolutely clinical
06:58but considering he has a bit of a shoot on sight policy he was the one player that should have
07:03been picked up then it was both careless and costly from where I'm sitting
07:15Milan get themselves a two-goal cushion well it's been an absolutely fabulous spell for
07:21them and they're starting to look unstoppable there could be more on the way
07:28and it's Caicedo good challenge he just stood firm
07:40has a goal
07:42oh
07:44shame that was nicely worked it didn't quite come off on this occasion but it only needs
07:51a gentle tweak
07:54hoists it forward
07:59savage
08:01it's been a possession this but
08:03very little to show for it
08:04he's away
08:05Trout calling for him to shoot
08:09good clearance and
08:10very necessary
08:12good defending there they've slammed the door
08:15in the faces of the opposition
08:17he's certainly caught him there
08:19it's a free kick
08:30now it's Memphis Depay
08:35and here's Caicedo
08:41Caicedo really just
08:43wasn't quick enough then
08:45well he's thinking
08:46and he has been fouled there
08:48and that's going to be a booking
08:59Memphis Depay
09:00oh that's brilliant
09:03oh it really is a finish of the highest order
09:11and he's produced a beauty
09:37this is threatening to become a really good game
09:40well it was important they didn't get ahead of themselves and lose their discipline
09:44this game plan could near well reward them with an equaliser
09:48yeah that does look a foul
09:50he's given a free kick
10:05oh he's going over the top
10:07oh he's going over the top
10:08oh look his thinking was more audacious than his attempt
10:19Saka
10:24Saka
10:24loses his balance and loses the ball
10:27outside it's a bit too casual in possession
10:31to the final five minutes of the first half
10:36he wasn't very far from making something happen by himself
10:39lovely to see
10:43can't get the better of his opposite number
10:46it is quite a run he's making here
10:48he's got away
10:51it's one
10:54oh great save
10:56real class
10:57well that was high class goalkeeping there to back up his his high class wage
11:06and that has been cleared
11:16managed to get it away
11:26could be a chance
11:28could be a chance
11:34savage
11:38in luck
11:39that's really nice now
11:41what next
11:43it's one
11:45they've got it
11:48a two goal lead
11:50and they're firmly in control
11:56he was urged to shoot
11:57and he duly delivered
11:59and that's what the game is all about
12:01find space and finish
12:03but we have to credit the pastor
12:04to pick him out
12:11so
12:13here is
12:35so
12:35So the lead now is two.
12:37That has the feeling of a breath of fresh air.
12:41There is the half-time whistle.
12:43Milan are two up, and on the balance of things, I would say,
12:47deservedly so.
12:48They have a very coherent game plan,
12:50and if they are allowed to continue in the same vein,
12:54I can only see the margin getting bigger.
12:57Milan are broadly in charge,
12:59but the contest is still alive at three goals to one.
13:03And we are already promptly back on the way.
13:08Changes made by neither side, from what we understand.
13:13And it's Caicedo.
13:16Memphis Depay gets wrestled off the ball.
13:20Jarvis goes up and over.
13:23It's a good run, that. Great timing.
13:36That's a throw.
13:42Saka.
13:47Savage.
13:50Oh, he's going to be pulled back for that one.
14:04That's just very well played.
14:06He can't hurt you with his back to goal,
14:07and he didn't go for the back heel.
14:12Big, real chance!
14:15A reprieve, albeit perhaps momentary.
14:19Decent strike, kept it fizzing low.
14:26Lazio, very impressive in their last outing,
14:29and brilliantly orchestrated by the manager.
14:31Look, to alter the intended game plan
14:33was a daring move on the manager's part.
14:35It wasn't quite working for...
14:37MASSIVE LEAP!
14:39Good delivery.
14:41No joy.
14:42I have to commend the wing plate,
14:43but I have to condemn the defending.
14:45They've got to stop the cross.
14:48And back to the keeper.
14:51Here comes the corner.
15:03TOWERING HEADER!
15:05It's in!
15:07Right back in the game!
15:12No space, no problem.
15:15You just cannot stop him.
15:17Caicedo really showed good strength there.
15:19Held his man off,
15:21didn't let himself get bullied,
15:22and got his effort away.
15:24Maintain control.
15:39Lazio get themselves back into contention.
15:42Are scoring early in this half,
15:43just takes the pressure off now
15:45and allows them a chance to be a bit more patient
15:47in trying to level things up.
15:53It's a very good effort.
16:00There wasn't much wrong with that at all.
16:02We're talking fine margins now.
16:04that at all.
16:18It over to the other flank
16:21To be better. That's a wasted chance
16:26Slightly better ball would have led to a very different outcome there
16:30Quality deserted them when they really needed
16:35Oh well intercepted really alerts the danger
16:38Now it's Memphis to pie
16:41A mixture of good defending and indecisive passing
16:44No progress
16:48Oh he did the hard part right but fluffed the finish
16:52It's easy to say it but difficult to stop it
16:55When runs in behind are being made like that
17:13Looking cross field changing the point of attack
17:16Just brushed off the ball there
17:23Caicedo
17:26The referee's awarded a free kick
17:31There could be trouble here
17:33For now the referee is keeping his cards in his pocket
17:42Good strong hand by the keeper
17:46Smart save he had plenty to do
17:49Well I thought a starting position was good
17:51And that helped the keeper to judge the flight of the ball
17:53And deal with it well
17:57Lazio showing a little more urgency now
18:00And to be honest Peter
18:00This is what's required
18:02Jim there's not too much subtlety or sophistication about this
18:06It really is a question of needs must
18:09Well there's no two ways about it
18:11This is what they have to do
18:18Across the field it goes
18:22It's gone out for a throw in
18:25So here comes a substitution
18:33As Serbi gets it back
18:36Soric
18:37Oh that's clearly not what he wanted to do
18:41And it's Caicedo
18:44This defence just doesn't trust itself to play a higher line
18:48Frightened the people getting it behind
18:50Yeah absolutely
18:50It just opens up the opportunity of not only strikers getting behind
18:54But the runners from midfield too
18:58Memphis Depay
18:59As Serbi battles to win it back
19:04Corolo
19:06Sticks in a foot to win it back
19:11Good challenge
19:12He just stood firm
19:13Looks to clip it forward
19:18Corolo tries to get it forward quickly
19:25Brings it forward
19:32Quick glance at goal
19:33That's a puck
19:37Oh that's a fine challenge
19:40It's obvious that they prefer a greater cushion to sit on
19:44But will they?
19:50That's a good foot in there
19:53Peter they have to fight the onset of desperation
19:56And keep enough cool heads to still deliver
20:04It's Thomas
20:07And that would have been game set and match
20:09Well he's definitely kept the side in the game then
20:12That's really good positioning
20:13They could have doubled their lead there
20:18Cleared away
20:22The Serbi
20:31There's a real appetite from them to finally put this game to bed
20:35But will they?
20:40And very well to intervene
20:43John Miranda
20:48Almost nothing left on the clock here
20:50Lazio
20:51Looking almost certain to miss out on maximum points
20:54And hasn't happened for a while
20:58He's on his
20:59Hazza hit!
21:01Oh nearly
21:02But nearly is nothing
21:04Well he doesn't need a second invitation
21:07Even from that range
21:15Lazio can make their change now
21:17With a break in play
21:18Yeah it's pretty obvious as to who is going to be taken off
21:22His energy levels began to sag
21:24And he was never going to last until the final whistle
21:27Savage
21:28Has been caught there
21:29It's a foul
21:39And it's Caicedo
21:44Lazio
21:44Have a simple task to find something sustained now
21:48And keep the pressure on
21:52Milan
21:53Need to hold on for a few more moments
22:06Lovely feet
22:10Milan probably could have killed things off
22:12But they should be okay here
22:15And the shots
22:22Parolo
22:25Board shows there will be three extra minutes
22:34Intercepts the throw
22:35It's well read
22:39Cuts it out
22:40Onsides
22:41A bit lacking in intent
22:45And that's it
22:46Whatever the shortcomings on either side
22:49It was a great game to watch
22:50Just one between them
22:52Your reflections then Jim
22:53Milan really have a team of the right
22:56Thanks for that
22:56I'll be sure to have a had to
22:56I'll be sure to have a good one
