Over the last five years, the number of Egyptians taking out very small loans -- known as microcredit -- has more than doubled to over a million people. Now the government is planning a vote designed to help companies extending such loans to make a profit -- with supporters saying that microcredit is a great way to help those in poverty get business ideas off the ground.
