It is doom and gloom for lovers of Spring sunshine as the Met office issues some bad news.
Forecasters have warned that temperatures are likely to drop dramatically over the next few days, falling to as low as 4 degrees in some parts of the UK.
Bitter, blustery winds could make it feel much colder, and sleet and snow may even hit some parts of the UK, with the Scottish Highlands and the Pennines as key targets.
Nevertheless, according to the Met Office, the mercury won't drop below freezing, so it is unlikely that we will witness the weather-induced chaos we suffered back in December.
Rain showers, thunder and chilly winds are also predicted for next week, however, it should not be enough to stall the onset of Spring.
The icy December which was the coldest since records began 100 years ago has delayed the earliest signs of Spring by two weeks.
But experts say the seasons are now back on track.
The near average temperatures in January have compensated for our arctic Winter, hopefully doing enough to prevent another late Spring.
