A storm of possibly epic proportion is bearing down on western Alaska. The U.S. National Weather Service warns it could be one of the worst in the state's history.
Locals say they're prepared for the worst.
SOUNDBITE: Unidentified resident saying:
"We've got water stored up, we've got some food, we've got clothing and everything, bean bags all ready to go should we have to evacuate if it comes to that point."
The storm is expected to bring 100 mile-per-hour winds AND heavy snowfall.
Officials say they are staging helicopters for emergency response and are particularly worried about having to evacuate native settlements along the coast --- many of which are not linked by roads.
