A man walked into this Sydney café on Tuesday carrying a suitcase full of cash.
Local media said the man was a Chinese national from Hong Kong, and was carrying up to a million Australian dollars in the case.
One of the cafe owners became suspicious of the way the man was acting.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) CAFÉ OWNER HALA ESBER, SAYING:
"He just came in and he looked nervous. You know like it's obvious when somebody walks in. I had a bad feeling about him and he had a suitcase and a bag on his shoulder which his hand was in the bag the whole time and that's when I said to my husband, there's something about this guy you know he's acting funny. I asked him for a coffee and he answered "yeah, yeah" or something and I put his order in and he just ran out and left his suitcase and we were all panicking, thinking 'oh, my God what's in it, there's a bomb in it, he left us a bomb."
A 49-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon in a suburb near the cafe.
Local media said he was taken to hospital after he began suffering from a medical condition.
He remains under police guard.
