Mourners gathered in Homs for the funeral of military personnel killed in an attack on an Ai Force base outside of the city.
Syrian State television reported that 10 military personnel including six pilots were killed . A military spokesman said foreign terrorist elements orchestrated the strike in a bid to weaken Syrian forces.
The army has struggled to quash protests against the government.
This video posted to a social media website -- which Reuters cannot indecently verify --- appeared to show new protests across Syria amid reports that security forces killed four people earlier in the day.
The United Nations says at least 3,500 people have been killed in Syria since the uprising began eight months ago.
