A military aircraft arrives in Belgium carrying the bodies of 22 children and six adults killed in a bus crash in the Swiss Alps.
Police continue to investigate how the coach, carrying 52 passengers, crashed into the wall of a tunnel Tuesday night.
The coffins were placed in a hanger at Melsbroek airport for military honors.
Belgium is holding a day of mourning to remember the victims, most of them 12 years old, who were returning from a ski trip.
Swiss authorities are carrying out an autopsy on the bus driver's body to see if it might yield clues on the cause of the accident. They say there are many possible explanations for the crash and that police would take into account statements from children.
A minute of silence was observed throughout Belgium at 11 a.m. local time.
The coffins were later taken to a funeral home.
Friday's national day of mourning is Belgium's first since 2004, called to remember 24 people killed in a gas explosion.
