Gordon Brown, Britain's prime minister, has ruled out lifting EU sanctions on Zimbabwe until there is further progress on human rights and democracy.

He has been hosting Jacob Zuma, the South African president, in Downing Street, where Zuma called for the sanctions to go.

Alan Fisher reports now on how the second day of the South African leader's UK visit has been going.
