Fighting rages in the Lebanese port city of Tripoli.
At least 13 people were killed here Saturday during clashes between supporters and opponents of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
Groups of militants, armed with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, fought pitched battles across wide swaths of the city.
The Lebanese government deployed the army in an attempt to restore calm to Tripoli.
The city has been the scene of weeks of on-again, off-again violence.
The clashes have pitted Sunni Muslims against members of the minority Alawite sect, to which al-Assad belongs.
It raised fears that the fighting in Syria - now more than a year old - could envelop neighbouring Lebanon.
