In Britain, the 9/11 decade will likely be most remembered for two things: the country's involvement in the US-led war in Iraq and the London bombings of 2005.
Having denied that the Iraq war was illegal, let alone a mistake, the political establishment in Britain refused to accept that the July 7th attacks were in any way linked - instead they became a reason of their own for more and greater security.
It is a sentiment that is not readily shared by all.
