I am an artist. I cut and assemble various wood species to form a picture. This rare art is called "Marquetry".
Very few people know what marquetry is, so I decided to make a fun movie to share with you of how I make it.
In this movie the bird and the bee are the main characters, interacting with Debbie (my favorite narrator), to illustrate the 5-step process I used to make The Bird and The Bee.
I use a laser machine to help me create all my artworks, but you will never guess how I used it to create a clean cut and a perfect fit.
Marquetry is best seen in person. I am exhibiting my works at Art-A-Fair Fine Art Festival in Laguna Beach, California. It is a nine-week art festival that will end on Sept. 2nd, 2012. Here is the website:
