After years of preparation the big day has arrived.
The London Olympic Games are about to begin and Britain's Sport and Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt enthusiastically waves his bell.
But perhaps he's being a little too enthusiastic.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) BRITISH SPORT AND CULTURE SECRETARY JEREMY HUNT, SAYING:
REPORTER ASKING: "How confident are you things will go off without a hitch?"
HUNT, SAYING: "Well I can't say that there won't be hitches because this really is one of the biggest things you can do. Twenty-six major international sports tournaments all at the same time, around 100 heads of state coming in. There's a amount to get right. There are always going to be one or two teething problems. But I'm very confident that we're ready. Jacques Rogge, the president of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) said that London is more ready than any Olympic host city that has ever been and when there are things that don't go according to plan, London will cope in the way it always has."
REPORTER ASKING: "Can we get a ringing of the bell?"
HUNT SAYING: "Yeah sure!"
Dubbed "The greatest show on earth", the Olympic Games kick off Friday night with an opening ceremony created by Oscar-winning film director Danny Boyle.
And organisers will be hoping that Hunt's is the only hitch.
