US President Barack Obama, in his annual State of the Union address, has demanded tax hikes on the wealthy in an appeal to voters as he eyes a second term in the White House.
In his speech, he cited his economic and political accomplishments while attempting to depict his Republican rivals as pro-rich. In response, Republican leaders fired back with claims that Obama has made the country's economy worse.
