Saturday saw the first day of track and field at London 2012. Tomas Mayefski of Poland has taken the first gold medal - that was in the shot putt. Not only have the athletes been treating the fans to some record-breaking action, but the unusually large crowds have been treating the athletes to a great atmosphere.
