Queens Park Rangers chief executive Philip Beard has told talkSPORT that Joey Barton’s loan move to Marseille was made in the best interests of the club.
The fiery midfielder left Loftus Road under a cloud after incurring a 12-game ban for his sending off in the final game of last season.
But he has a chance to start afresh in Ligue 1 and Beard insists QPR are focussed on moving on from the whole episode.
