Pakistan's military announced on Monday it had successfully test-fired a nuclear capable cruise missile with a range of 700 kilometres (435 miles).
The indigenously developed Hatf-VII (Babur) is a low flying, terrain-hugging missile with stealth features which can strike targets both at land and sea with pin-point accuracy, the military said.
It can carry both nuclear and conventional warheads.
For much of its post-independence history, Pakistan has been on edge with regional rival and neighbour India. Both are nuclear armed powers.
