The former director of a French fertiliser factory where an explosion killed 31 people has been sentenced to a year in jail for manslaughter.
More than 2,500 were injured in the blast which happened in the southern city of Toulouse in September 2001.
The factory's ex-director Serge Biechlin was also fined 45,000 euros.
