00:00This is a toy spot on the DC Universe Classics Wave 11.
00:04This is figure 4. This is Cyborg Superman.
00:19And let's get a look at the package before we get the figure looked at.
00:23I like that the traditional packaging is being used.
00:27However, they've put these embossed, I guess if you want to call it embossed,
00:34they've put an overlay of the plastic with the Sinestro Cord logo.
00:37And I think that's a nice little touch to the packaging.
00:40Down below you can see Cyborg Superman, right here,
00:45includes the Collect and Connect figure piece.
00:48Interesting that this piece comes with the head and lower torso of Kilowog.
00:57I think that's one of the few figures that I remember seeing that had separate pieces from one another.
01:02On the back, the other figures in this wave,
01:06we've got Catman Tui, we've got Shark, we've got Deadman,
01:11we've got Jon Stewart, Question, and Cyborg Superman.
01:14Of course, we've also got the Steppenwolf in the middle.
01:17It came with two variants.
01:19And the read-up biography says,
01:27Hank Henshaw became a being of pure energy.
01:31Henshaw beamed his consciousness into the Kryptonian birthing matrix and brought Superman to Earth.
01:36Oh, that brought Superman to Earth.
01:38The experience granted him an irrational hatred of Superman,
01:41utilizing the matrix again to construct a Cyborg body out of Superman's DNA and Kryptonian alloys.
01:47He teamed with the interstellar tyrant, Mongol, and began wreaking havoc throughout the universe.
01:54I find it's a bit hard to read.
01:56They've got these little lines going through these...
02:01I don't like it's being warped, I guess.
02:03But, I mean, it's a little hard to read some of the text that's on here.
02:08Statistics.
02:09First appearance, Adventures of Superman, 466, 1990.
02:12Real name, Hank Henshaw.
02:14Occupation, mass murderer.
02:15Ha ha ha.
02:16Fantastic.
02:18Base of operations, Terran solar system, special abilities, able to control electronics,
02:22can create new bodies for himself out of machinery, invulnerable,
02:26able to create and manipulate objects with five, not one, not two, not three, not four,
02:32but five Sinestro core rings.
02:36The very cool, very cool Cyborg Superman.
02:40There's packaging on Cyborg Superman.
02:42Let's not waste any more time looking at this.
02:45Let's get the package to open up.
02:46Let's get a look at the figure.
02:48So stay tuned, guys.
02:49Now, I've really dropped the ball this time, guys.
02:53Checklist time.
02:54Checklist.
02:54You know, it doesn't help the fact that I'm reviewing my favorite figures from this wave.
03:00What ends up happening, though, is that when it comes to the checklist of parts, case in point,
03:09Kilowog here comes with his lower green underoos, I guess, his lower torso, and, of course, his head.
03:18The downside, though, being that this is the second review I've done, the only other figure piece I have is
03:25the arm from Jon Stewart.
03:28And as you can see, unless you really wanted to put his arm into his leg, Kilowog stays and remains
03:37very unfinished.
03:41But, yeah, hopefully, the next figure I'm going to actually get some torso or something going on that I can
03:47start putting these accessories together.
03:49But checklist time, Cyborg Superman comes with not only the head, but the lower underoos of Kilowog.
03:57So, we'll just put those down there for now.
04:00And we'll look at the figure, the very nice, very nice Cyborg Superman.
04:07And sculpts really decent on this figure.
04:09While I, I don't know about everyone else, but I was really thinking, in my infinite wisdom,
04:15I was really expecting that Cyborg Superman was a repaint, was a simple repaint of the DC Universe,
04:25DC Superheroes Cyborg.
04:27It is actually not. I'll move him over.
04:30And just for a comparison, I'll bring in the original Cyborg Superman from the DC Universe.
04:38And I think the most obvious reason why is quite apparent.
04:44As you can see, he doesn't have the split-legged problem that was the big issue with the DC Universe
04:52figures.
04:53I still, I'm glad they fixed it for the DC Universe figures, because the DC Superhero figures really did not
05:01like the fact that their legs spread apart so much.
05:05And this piece always was going to get loose.
05:08So it looks like they've actually used the lower torso from a standard Superman figure from the DC Universe wave.
05:18However, they've then taken the liberty and they've used the upper torso, looks to be the upper torso from the
05:26DC Superheroes line.
05:31And I'm trying to make out whether they've actually used the DC Universe, or DC Superheroes Cyborg Superman, or the
05:41regular Superman's arm, or if they've used the Universe arm.
05:45Looks to be about the same, really.
05:48The head as well, just trying to see, the head does in fact look like it is the same head,
05:54aside really from a slight repaint and a slight change to the eye.
06:01Aside from that, it looks like, yes, in fact, they've only used the lower torso of a DC Universe Superman.
06:08And then the upper half, they've utilized the DC Superheroes Cyborg.
06:14But it's nice, it's nice actually to have both, because if you're putting your guys on display, you can put
06:20the Cyborg Superman here from Superheroes.
06:23You can put him with the other Superman, including the very cool, the Superboy coming in DC, was it Wave
06:3212?
06:34Wave 12, actually it might be Wave 13.
06:37Yeah, because I think Wave 12 was Darkseid, I think Wave 13, yeah.
06:43But yeah, it's nice that you can have this, and then certainly you can have good old Sinestro Corps Cyborg
06:52Superman, along with his leader, Sinestro, in the Sinestro Corps variant of Sinestro that came out.
07:01But a nice looking figure, let's not talk anymore about Sinestro, let's talk here about the Cyborg Superman.
07:08A very nice looking Superman.
07:12And it almost shares the same coloring as the Harlequin figure.
07:18It's not vibrant, it's more of a darker red.
07:21And while I had real problems with the Harlequin figure, being that the color just didn't seem very vibrant, I
07:33think I can accept it with the Cyborg Superman, because the fact that his red isn't a vibrant red anyways,
07:40it's a little darker of a red.
07:43As you can see here, he's sporting his Sinestro Corps Superman emblem here, which I think looked really nice.
07:55Also, I like the fact that they've put the emblem on the back.
07:57I mean, this was a DC Superheroes cape, not the Universe cape, because the Universe capes tend to be a
08:03little more slender.
08:04The Superhero capes tend to, you know, be all over the place, and they're a little bit longer, I believe,
08:10as well.
08:14In the way of his accessories, that's where I basically cut off right here.
08:18He has no accessories, really aside from the already mentioned Kilowog pieces.
08:24He sadly doesn't come with any accessories.
08:26And the fact that he utilizes the upper torso of the Superheroes Superman, he has closed fists, which really works
08:35fine, because he's got his Sinestro rings on the one side, the yellow rings.
08:42But it would have been nice, maybe, if the other arm was, or the other hand was opened.
08:46Not that that really matters, because, again, he doesn't come with any accessories.
08:50It would have been nice if he came with some sort of energy, you know, energy ring construct.
08:58I mean, that would have been nice.
09:00Or if he had come with a lantern.
09:02I don't know if really he uses the lantern.
09:04I'm trying to remember reading the Sinestro Corps comics.
09:08I don't remember him ever utilizing much of a lantern.
09:13I might be wrong about that.
09:15In the way of his articulation, he has standard DC Universe articulation.
09:21So he can move his head back to right.
09:24Oh!
09:25But he doesn't really have up to down.
09:28I guess because, again, he's utilizing that upper torso from an older figure.
09:32He does have the ball-jointed shoulders.
09:35He has the bicep swivel.
09:38You can bend at the elbow.
09:39You can rotate his very cool hand.
09:42As you can see, they've retooled it with the rings.
09:45You can bend at the mid-torso.
09:48Rotate the waist.
09:49You can bend the legs in and out.
09:51Back and forth.
09:52Rotate the thigh.
09:53Bend at the knee.
09:54And bend at the foot.
10:00Quite a nice-looking figure.
10:01I like the coloring.
10:02The coloring probably is one of the nicest things.
10:04And it's so ironic, the fact that I really ripped into the Harlequin figure, just for really what ended up
10:12being the same coloring.
10:13It works well on him, while I don't think it worked well on her.
10:17She needed to certainly have more vibrant color.
10:21Out of ten, I would probably give this guy a good solid eight.
10:25He's well worth picking up.
10:27And certainly, if I bring him in once again, if you have the previous DC Superheroes Cyborg Superman,
10:35it's nice to have him on display with the Reign of Superman, the Steel Raticator, if you were lucky enough
10:44to pick him up,
10:44and the upcoming Superboy figure.
10:47And then while you can put this Cyborg Superman with the other members of the Sinestro Corps,
10:53and you have a nice little display.
10:56But overall, an eight for the Cyborg Superman.
10:59And that was a toy spot on DC Universe Wave 11.
11:05And this was the Sinestro Corps Cyborg Superman.
11:08Hope you guys enjoyed it.
11:10Many more DC Universe Wave 11 reviews to come.
11:14And I'll see you guys then.
11:16Later.
11:33I'll see you guys then.
