Making a dough is the very basic and starting point of learning cooking in India. As you know that people in India are used to use their hands and not machines to make dough, it is important that every new bird should learn it.
I know that It sounds and looks a bit difficult for freshers but if you believe me, it is very easy and just a 2 minute task.
I made my reluctant husband learn it and now he feels very comfortable cooking chapati's for himself whenever he is travelling or is alone. Earlier, his only surviving strategy was to cook and eat rice (the art he learned on his first trip to USA).
The good thing about making dough is that the process is same for all types of flour. You can use any flour like All Purpose flour (Maida), Gram Flour (Besan), Wheat Flour (Gehu Ka Atta) and many more.
Here is a video that shows up the complete process of making/kneading the dough from start to finish. I hope you would also like it and will never look back if you are the first timer.
So, what are you waiting for? Just open the gates of home made delicious and soft chapati's, paranthas and hundred other preparations...
Thanks for being with inHouseRecipes.
