At least 40 Palestinians have died in Israeli attacks on Gaza, as airstrikes continue in this latest outbreak of violence.
Gaza is controlled by Islamist group Hamas, who have seen their government buildings in Gaza destroyed, including the offices of Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh.
