Guilherme Efe is a self-taught guitar player from Leiria. He started learning when he was 14, at a time when his main references were Metallica, Opeth, Gojira, In Flames, Lamb of God and Jimmy Hendrix. At the age of 16, he and some friends began a hard rock band called Innerview, and that project gave him the opportunity to experience playing live before an audience for the first time. Since 2010 he has been playing guitar in a groove metal band called Irenic. At the same time, and using his own experience as a guitar player, he has created an unusual and rigorous new project called Grutera that lives through a single guitar (nylon and bass strings). His sound can be compared to some other contemporary artists such as Filho da Mãe or even Norberto Lobo." by Henrique Vassalo
