Is your BMW X5 sitting lower than normal?
Suspension sagging can be an early indication of an air suspension leak or another fault within the system. A leaking air spring, damaged air line, loose connection, or faulty suspension component can allow air pressure to escape and cause the vehicle to lose its proper ride height.
You may notice one side of the X5 sitting lower, the vehicle dropping after being parked overnight, or a hissing sound coming from the suspension area. If the suspension compressor is running more frequently than usual, it may be working harder to compensate for lost air pressure.
Uneven ride height, reduced driving comfort, or recurring suspension noises are also signs that the system should be checked. Continuing to drive with an unresolved air leak can put additional strain on the compressor and other suspension components.
If your BMW X5 keeps sagging, don’t ignore the warning signs. A proper inspection can identify the source of the leak and help restore the vehicle’s correct ride height, comfort, and handling.
