Leonard, hidden heir of Dragon Nation's wealthiest clan, returned to his birth family, the Lins of Yuncheng, to repay a debt. There, the jealous adopted son, Luther, turned the family against him, leading to abuse and, later, a framed car accident that sent Leonard to prison for two years. Broken by this betrayal, he abandoned his quest for gratitude.
After Luther failed to join Selena's Artificial Womb Project, the desperate Lins kidnapped Leonard for a forced public apology.
